Scott Ellis

Turkey Tech Instructor

Scott Ellis is 43 years old and has been hunting since he was five. It all started in the oak hammocks of central Florida where his father Cliff, taught him squirrel hunting. He then graduated on to ducks and deer. At 10 years old he learned of calling and hunting turkeys and thanks to a brief fall turkey hunt from a friend by the name of Glenn Wilson, Scott was hooked for life. He quickly became obsessed with the wild turkey, its extensive vocabulary and ability to communicate through vocalizations. As time went on he become proficient at calling all types of wild game located in the southeast US. Scott began competitively turkey calling in 1992. At 17 years old and his very first contest he finished 2nd in the Florida State Senior division. He has since accumulated over 40 Florida State titles and won over 90 Open, Friction, Owl and Gobbling divisions in 14 different states. This includes top 5's in the 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Grand Nationals Senior Open and the 2014 US Open. He has won three Grand National Head to Head Championships. As well he is the 2014 US Open Owl Hooting Champion. Scott has also completed 4 Grand Slams, two of which were single season and two Royal Slams.He has been aired on numerous television shows, including: Hardcore Hunting, Turkey Call, Outdoor Allstars, Get in the Game, Woodhaven Pure Turkey, and The Natural Addiction. Scott is also a published outdoor writer. His articles have been featured in Florida Sportsman, Game and Fish magazines (20 states), Turkey and Turkey Hunting, Realtree.com, Woods and Water, Bowhunting.net, and is a contributing writer for UShuntingtoday.com

Steve Stoltz

Whitetail Tech Instructor

Steve Stoltz, Cantril, IA, is a Pro Staff member of Woodhaven Custom Calls and Mossy Oak. He is the Host and creator of Buckmen. Steve is a full time firefighter and is known in the industry as “the working man’s hunter,” making him the perfect leader for this “working man” television series. His success in the television and video field has made him one of the top whitetail and turkey authorities in the United States, not to mention he is also a 3x World Turkey Calling Champion and a NWTF Grand National Champion of Champions. With a wall full of Pope and Young class whitetails to his credit and known as a highly talented seminar speaker, it is no wonder he is also one of the top outdoor personalities in the industry today.

Barnie Calef

Duck Tech Instructor

Barnie Calef was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is a 3 Time World Champion duck caller. Barnie has won World duck calling titles in 3 different decades and 2 different centuries including rare back to back victories. When Barnie walked off the stage in 2000 with his 3rd World Championship ring, he entered an elite fraternity of duck callers. Only 6 men have won 3 World Championships in the 75 year history of the contest held each year in Stuttgart, AR. The back to back titles hadn’t been accomplished since 1973-1974. Barnie has 8 top ten finishes at the World Championships along with 13 state and regional titles. In addition Barnie won the coveted K’s Traditional, an invitational only duck calling competition that included several former World Champions. Barnie has been in the outdoor industry shooting dvd’s, television shows and promoting his line of duck and goose calls since 2000.
